Pyramid Group called upon IPL to perform all the electrical work at the Walden Galleria, the largest retail facility in Western New York . This was a fast track project, completed in just over nine months. IPL completed this project with two ten hour shifts, seven days a week.

The Washington Group contracted IPL to install a new fire alarm and security system at the new General Motors Engine plant in Tonawanda , New York . Also included in this contract was installation of production lines (filter portion), and the complete contract for the 60,000 square foot social facility area.

Teletech Call Center in Niagara Falls, New York was built in 1995. IPL was contracted to install all the necessary electrical, telephone, and data cabling that would enable the operation of this facility in just over three months time. Again, IPL completed this project with two daily shifts of ten hour days, and had the call center up and running by the date required.

IPL has completed a large renovation of the Tonawanda School District in Tonawanda, New York . This project, which began in 2001, updated multiple schools with new energy efficient lighting fixtures, a state of the art data and communication system, upgrades to the electrical services to six buildings, and much more. During the period from April, 2002 to September, 2002 IPL had two ten hour shifts at the schools, six days a week. The project was completed in time for the new school year.

IPL is currently working on a large renovation project at the Williamsville School District in Amherst, New York . These renovations, performed fast track over the summer of 2002, upgraded the lighting and electrical systems for the school district. IPL had two shifts of ten hour days, six days a week, at the schools completing the project in time for the new school year to begin. The second portion of this project will be upgrading the LAN network found at the schools.

IPL is currently working on a large renovation project at the Lewiston Porter School District in Niagara County . These renovations upgraded the power distribution, fire alarm systems, intercom, and clock systems. We installed a new RF Distribution system and CCTV security system. A new back-bone cabling system was installed to support the above systems. IPL worked ten hour days, six days a week to complete the project in time for the new school year to begin.

IPL has completed a very large renovation / addition project for the Gowanda School District . These renovations upgraded the lighting, main power distribution, communication and data cabling, intercom, and fire alarm systems for the Elementary and Middle/High School. The project lasted for two years, and did not disrupt the school district while the work was performed.

IPL is currently working on a number large projects for the Tops Markets throughout New York State, Pennsylvania, and Ohio . These new stores are being built under a fast track program over a period of three to five months per store. IPL is installing the lighting and electrical systems at each location, along with the network systems at the stores.

IPL has completed a large lighting retrofit project at the campus of Moog Industries in East Aurora, New York. This project included over 9,000 fixtures, throughout the multi-building campus. The scope of work entailed replacing existing lighting with new energy efficient fixtures and components. The project lasted for approximately one year. IPL was contracted through Siemen’s Building Technologies.

Industrial Power and Lighting was awarded a Job Order Contracting contract with the New York State Dormitory Authority in 2000. This contract was a one year award, with two (2) options years. IPL completed all three years of the contract, and was awarded a new contract in 2003 after another successful bid. The Job Order Contracting (JOC) contract is a unit price base contract, with the selected contractor being a preferred contractor for the region. This gives Dormitory Authority Project Manager’s the ability to award a contract to the preferred contractor, without having a bid process take place for every project. The work is done on a unit by unit basis, with fixed pricing being offered to the contractor. An overhead and profit factor is bid by the contractor, and all work is done for the unit price plus the factor. To date, IPL has completed over $1.5 million in work through this contract. A new duress alarm system was installed at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center, along with some stabilization work. Three phases of fire alarm renovations at Alfred State College have been completed to date, and a forth is scheduled to commence in 2005. This contract has also been utilized to complete work in Albany and Batavia.
